Slaven Bilic: The Coach With His Own Post

In the comments on last weekend’s coaches post, Johonna mentioned Slaven Bilic, a man on whom there’s very little middle ground: Either you think he looks like the Angel of Death (which is sexy as hell), or you think he looks like the Angel of Death (which is terrifying and gross).

This post, obviously, is for those of you in the former camp — and you will want to be clicking on the pictures, as a lot of them will grow to amazing size if prompted properly. (Those in the latter camp will want to look away.)

Never short of confidence, this one. Not that we mind.

Coaching it up at the Euros, with no idea of the fate that awaited them at the hands of Turkey.

Ok, well. Now they have some idea.

Before they were booted, though, there were Bilic pictures galore.

Well hello, ladies.

His press conferences, also, were more than a little delightful.

To look at, anyway.

(Wow.)

Damn, Slaven. Rough night?

Or maybe his eyes just get red when he’s cold? I’m sure that’s it.

And, to finish, the best of the bunch. Awwwww. (Notice how his son, too, looks slightly evil.)

  I know I’m not the only person with a bit of a man crush on Slaven. What a guy, he couldn’t be any cooler. Great manager, he smokes, he’s in his own band and they even wrote Croatia’s Euro 2008 song! Love that guy..

  I’m sure it’s very wrong, Johonna, but I’m right there with you.

  Wayne, do you think it would improve Mourinho’s image if he picked up a guitar now and then? Because I agree, the grumpy guitarist/songwriter thing escalates Bilic’s standing by miles.

  (I should have included the Croatia theme video, damn.)
