Club America goalkeeper Armando Navarrete would like you to know two things. First, that his team just beat Inter Milan (in PKs) and AC Milan in the space of four days, and second, that they’re planning to take Chelsea on Sunday, too.*

We here at HABs, meanwhile, would like you to know just one thing: Navarrete is far from the only adorable person on the team — if you’re ignoring them, you’re missing out.

*Yes, yes, we know that Club America’s season starts next week, and that they’re much further along in their preparation than anyone else in the World Football Challenge. Don’t harsh our squee, alright?

You may not have heard, but Inter celebrated their 17th Scudetto last weekend with a 4-3 win over Atalanta (two goals by Zlatan), and the traditional parade of small children (two sons by Zlatan). The Swede himself celebrated the former by taking off his clothes and flexing, and the latter by being so adorable even the hardest of hard men were heard cooing at the pictures.

After scoring the winning goal in added time, being named Man of the Match, and lifting the UEFA Cup, Shakhtar’s Jadson had only one thing left to do: Find his son. All together now: Awwwwww!

(You know, it’s a pity this doesn’t happen in other professions — it’d be nice to see lawyers triumphantly kissing their children after winning big cases, or doctors bringing their kids joyously into the OR after a successful operation.)

Despite earning a card during the match that will rule him out of the Champions League final in Rome, Dani Alves was still fired up enough about Barca going through last night to strip with enthusiasm, showing off his stubbly torso — either he’s just sworn off waxing, or he hasn’t had time to hit the salon recently.

Quick question, though — does he have his own name tattooed across his chest?

Scoring at will is one thing, but it’s not until you’re accepted by the club’s creepy mascot (What IS that thing?) that you know you’re really on the inside. Well done, Andrei. Just … be careful. That thing looks hungry, and you’re no more than an amuse-bouche even to a human, let alone a giant reptile. Good thing it’s muzzled.

And remember when Lorik Cana had long hair, and looked like a really hot caveman who seemed like the type who would go out and club a mate to drag back to the cave?

Somehow in our imaginations it looked a little different.

Edison Cavani’s life at Palermo started with bang two years ago, when he was barely 20 and scored a sick equalizer in his first appearance for the club. (Scoring on his debut is a habit for him — he did the same in his first appearance for the senior Uruguayan national team.)

Now an old man of 22, he’s still got the cheekbones, the braces and the dorky grin, but he’s Palermo’s leading scorer, and has proven he can bust out football moves even when he’s wearing a suit. You know, should need for that ever come up.

Chile’s Alexi Sanchez (that’s him on our right, with the hip cleavage) moved from River Plate to Udinese in Italy this season. Disappointingly, apart from one match, he’s been keeping his clothes on since his arrival in Serie A. Luckily for us, though, the internets remember what the old days where like.

Brazil’s (and Inter’s) godlike keeper Julio Cesar takes a well-deserved break, joined by the singificantly less deserving Robinho. One assumes Robinho is there just to thank Julio Cesar (over and over and over again) for miraculously grabbing Brazil a point after they were dominated by Ecuador but somehow managed a 1-1 draw.

Take a look at Robinho, by the way. He’s got his keeper, his “R” necklace (so he remembers who he is), and his “JESUS” bracelet (so he remembers who he loves) — everything important in one picture!

Lucio and Felipe Melo eventually turned up to join them, too. Really, I think everyone just wanted to be near their keeper, in the hope that some of the magic would rub off. Lucio is clearly concerned that he’s too far away to get any mojo at all.
