Pants-Off Dance-Off! (Without the Dancing)
By: Lotte Cox | April 4th, 2009What is it with footballers pulling their shorts down when they’re distressed? Not, you understand, that we’re complaining, it’s just a strange habit for such a big group of people to have developed. Plus, what must their mothers think?
In the case of Blackburn’s Roque Santa Cruz, one hopes his mother is at least impressed by his waxing skills, even if she’s slightly troubled by the fact that he’s about to flash millions of viewers.
Hertha’s Marko Pantelic, too, is very good at waxing but, troublingly, seems to have the genitalia of a Ken doll. Shouldn’t we be seeing … something by now?
Inter’s Dejan Stankovic, meanwhile, wants all of us to know that he has stopped waxing, thank you very much, and is damn proud of it. (We’re impressed, Deki. Trust us, we’re impressed.)

Why is it that these photos are so much sexier than the full frontal ones?

It is the titillation, the ribaldry, Amanda. The others are just a little too smutty sometimes.
Oooo, Deki! He is sooo overlooked. And I bet he is anatomically correct.
(Pantelic has me a bit freaked out – is he a cyborg?!?)

I think it’s because they draw your eyes to the natural wonder that is the hip cleavage. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to scroll back up to the Roque pic.

You know, the more I look at that Pantelic photo, the more I think someone has taken some photoshop to it.

@Johonna: I think you’re on to something there about Pantelic! Either a cyborg or, possibly, a terminator — they don’t have genitalia either, do they?
@Wanda: Believe it or not, I don’t think anyone has — I could be wrong, but I think the picture came from a photo agency, rather than a fan page or something. Johonna must be right, he’s a sophisticated, sexless robot.
