Rafael Nadal Ought to Switch Sports

By: Ivanna Baller | December 18th, 2008

Not that he isn’t an amazing tennis player, which he is, but he would be a very very welcome sight on the football pitch as well. He was nice enough to give us a glimpse of that possibility in last Tuesday’s Friends of Iker vs. Friends of Rafa charity match.

My advice to Rafa? To stop swinging and start dribbling.

Run Rafa, Run!

Nadal is pretty good at football. His Uncle played for Barcelona but somehow he is Real fan. But football is really popular with all the tennis players and it’s at times like these when we’re able to see them play the other sports. Did you know that Federer had to decide what sport he wanted to continue on in? Imagine how different things would have been if he’d picked football…

I can’t remember where I saw “Friends of Iker vs. Friends of Rafa,” but there was no context, and the only Rafa I could think of was Benitez. And the visual wasn’t pleasant at all. This is much better.
