Meet the Adorable Mati Fernandez

Look at this smile. Made to be a poster on the walls of teenage girls around the world.

Matias (Mati) Fernandez was the engine in Chile’s shock win over Argentina earlier this month. His day job is with Villareal in Spain’s La Liga.

Sweet and wholesome-looking, which means, sadly, no shower pictures, or even any shirtless. Yet. But you know it’s only a matter of time before some marketing company realizes what they’ve got here and turns him into a calendar boy and underwear model. When that happens, remember that you saw him here first.

And he rocks that mullet better than anybody since Uncle Jesse in Full House.

(Come on. Admit it. You had a crush.)

  Mele, I can see what you’re saying. You’d have to take away many layers of jadedness and ego to get to CRon, but there is something there that’s similar.
